One of the most admired musicians in the UK, Patsy Reid comes to The Met with new album The Brightest Path, her first solo recording since 2008's rapturously received Bridging The Gap.
In the last couple of years the former Breachach fiddle player has performed with Kathryn Tickell's Northumbrian Voices, Kathryn Roberts and Sean Lakeman, The Cecil Sharp Project, Zakir Hussain's Pulse of the World and new string trio VAMM. She also contributed violin, viola and cello to albums by Duncan Chisholm, Bella Hardy, Treacherous Orchestra and Tim Edey to name just a few.
Now Patsy takes centre stage to bring us newly recovered traditional Scottish melodies from the Atholl Collection, along with self-penned and contemporary material that demonstrates Patsy's skills and techniques from both folk and classical disciplines.
