Maz is a young singer song writer from Cumbria. She has a stunning voice which has exceptional purity and is one of the most exceptional new talents to come on to the folk scene in recent years. She was nominated for best newcomer at the 2013 BBC Folk Awards (Horizon Award).
Following a major headline tour of large arts venues in February / March 2013, she is concentrating her new album tour on more intimate venues.
Expect original self penned material and some traditional songs with a special Maz twist as she performs accompanied by Matt Jones on guitar. Maz recently performed for the Royal Shakespeare Company in their summer production of As You like It.
