Never miss another 'Ginger Baker's Jazz Confusion' show
Ginger Baker's Jazz Confusion
They once voted Ginger Baker, legendary drummer with The Graham Bond Organisation and Cream, as 'the musician least likely to survive the 60s'. Now he is back, with funk and jazz giant Pee Wee Ellis on tenor sax, Alec Dankworth on bass and percussionist Abass Dodoo to play a healthy mix of Thelonius Monk, Wayne Shorter, Sonny Rollins and originals from Pee Wee Ellis and Mr.Baker.
Don't miss your chance to catch one of the greatest drummers of all time.
Ginger Baker's Jazz Confusion
Having worked with some of the biggest names in music – everyone from Johnny Rotten to Eric Clapton, Max Roach to Fela Kuti – one of rock’s most legendary hell raisers, Ginger Baker, is back with a new band and a brand new sound. Now living in South Africa, the man charged with pretty much inventing the drum solo says to expect a highly charged, progressive mix of jazz, fusion and African sounds in the style of jazz giant Thelonious Monk.
