Gimme Shelter! Vintage, Handmade & Vinyl Fair

An afternoon of shopping to include all the things we love about vintage fairs! Variety, individuality, one-offs, creativity, value, shop local, good food and great music! Oh… and bowling!!

Attending will be some favourite vintage traders, offering quality on-trend vintage, a selection of ‘Etsy’ traders from around the South West. A great chance to promote local independent businesses and designers a chance for these online traders to show their handmade and vintage products in the ‘flesh‘. Weather permitting, there will be traders in the large garden, as well as live acoustic music and a pop-up kitchen courtesy of ‘Mel’s Kitchen’ specialising in locally sourced and seasonal food.

The first Gimme Shelter! Vintage Fair took place in September 2009, to coincide with the opening of the vintage shop 'Gimme Shelter! Boutique' in The Lanes. They have since been a regular fixture within the events held at The Lanes. Visit www.facebook.com/gimmesheltervintage for more information.

The fair's organisers also run the Department S club night that is held at The Lanes every Saturday (except the last of each month), with DJ John The Mod playing a mix of 60’s RnB/Rock & Rock/Motown/Britpop and Indie Anthems! Live bands include a mix of local and national touring bands with the occasional sympathetic covers bands thrown in!
