Milkman Ep Launch: Poor Old Dogs + Lonely Tourist
"Here it is folks. Our triumphant return to the best live music pub in Bristol and the first outing of the infamous Milkman...It's free entry and we'll have brand spanking new copies of our four track EP that you can all buy at very reasonable rates, sorted?
Support comes from Lonely Tourist, y'know, the Bristol based Glaswegian with guitar and sometimes a beard, and Poor Old DJs."
Info provided by the Event Organiser
We are Poor Old Dogs and we play folk music to stomp to. We formed with a collective inclination for good, honest music.
We reside in the nooks and crannies of Bristol with a desire to sow our wild musical oats far and wide.
We play songs about everyday fishmongers, questionable milkmen, tight-fisted estate agents and general weirdos amongst other subjects; all folk songs at heart.
We play like madmen and we sweat a lot.

Glasgow born but residing in Bristol, Lonely Tourist is the talented singer-songwriter Paul Tierney. Paul played a full-to-capacity album launch gig in 2014 for his third release 'Shouting At Weather', while the football-flavoured first track/single 'The Ballad Of Paul Tierney' received several plays from Steve Lamacq on BBC 6Music. A delicious blend of folk, skiffle and a hint of country, the tunes are largely upbeat and joyous, despite the sometimes bleak subject matter. Imagine Malcolm Middleton taking a happy pill, and this might be the result!
