Lady Rizo

Occupying a mesmerising space between performance art, gut-wrenching song-writing and out-and-out soul divaism, Lady Rizo (NYC) is an award-winning, must-see act.
In January 2010, she won her first Grammy on a duet with acclaimed cellist Yo-Yo Ma that was released on an album featuring Diana Krall, James Taylor and Alison Krauss, among others. She also sings and records with multi-platinum recording artist Moby.

She debuted in the United Kingdom in 2012 and took home the inaugural TO&ST Award, given to the best cabaret performer at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. She then sold-out in London and brought her side-splitting repartee and breathtaking voice to the West Coast and Melbourne, Australia before recording her debut album, Violet, in San Francisco and Brooklyn.
Tonight Rizo plays a rare stripped-back set with Yair Evnine on cello and guitar, hosted by Ophelia Bitz and with support from the finest acoustic blues acts.
