Housing Benefit Cuts In Bristol
Recent news from London boroughs is a sign of what's about to hit Bristol. 1000s will be affected by the HB cuts & the social disruption will spread across the city. But a public hearing on 18th May is a chance to hear personal experience of the hardship and to share practical solutions to the problem. The cuts mean that 7,500 private rented homes in Bristol will no longer be available to benefit claimants; 6,500 private tenants will face a reduction of £15 to £25 per week in benefit; & a further 900 single people under age 35 will lose £40 per week.
