Summer Baroque Series - Virtuoso Bach: Mahan Esfahani, The Soloists of Oxford Philomusica
The Oxford Philomusica Soloists are joined by guest conductor and harpsichord virtuoso, Mahan Esfahani - who starred in a sold-out recital at last year's Proms - for a dazzling programme which seems designed to confirm Bach's observation that 'everything must be possible'.
Tonight's programme comprises:
Bach: Flute Suite No 2 in B minor.
Telemann: Concerto for four Violins in D major.
Bach: Harpsichord Concerto No 2 in E major
Bach: Violin Concerto No 1 in A minor
Pachelbel: Canon in D major
Bach: Brandenburg Concerto No 5 in D major
