Jerusalem

Hard-hiting, crude, comic and with a protagonist of almost Shakespearian proportions, Jerusalem is a quintessentially English play mining political, social and mythological themes against the backdrop of a caravan in the Wiltshire woodland, home to Romany squatter and lord of misrule, Johnny 'Rooster' Byron.

This is not England's green and pleasant land, rather a rural den of iniquity, where impromptu nightly raves shatter the community's peace, and teenagers and local subversives gather to be served drugs, alcohol and saltry tales by the Pied Piper of Wiltshire himself.
