Producer Uncovered: Beginners

Learn the fundamentals of multi-track composition with Logic Pro X in this 10-week music production course, in Colston Hall’s state-of-the- art education suite.

Producer Uncovered is a hands-on, creative course, exploring how to build music from scratch, experiment with ideas and move towards a finished product, giving you the practical skills you need to create, develop and hone your ideas.

The beginners course covers:

Technical Skills – Basics of Logic; Audio recording, Audio Instruments and Rhythm programming; Effects processing
Creative Development – Identifying creative influences; Introduction to critical thinking; Developing audio sketches
Professional Development – Intro to Soundcloud and Bandcamp; Understanding the hype machine
Contextual Study – Short history of electronic music; Genre based research
