Five internationally renowned sound and multi-media visual artists will transform Bristol’s Arnolfini into a five hour immersive performance night of sound and image creating Cine-Seizure.

Five big screens will show electronic performances that blur the lines between sound, image, cinema and club, bringing together cross genre elements for a unique experience, inspired by the groundbreaking animated sound experiments of Norman McLaren.

The headline act is renowned electronic music producer Benjamin Damage. Known for his robustly constructed beats, Damage mixes genres together to create his own unique take on techno. Innovative in his sound, this Welsh-born music producer, who now lives in Berlin, was the first artist signed to Modeselektor’s 50 WEAPONS label. His 2013 debut solo album “Heliosphere” received rave reviews with “010x” becoming the track of the summer and festival favourite, seeing Damage appear at some of the biggest and best festivals all over the world.

Screening alongside this will be Damage’s visual collaborator Panther Panther!, who is a Bristol-based AV artist specialising in immersive environments and Latin America inspired electronica.

Fantastical animation and graphic artist Tom Schofield from Glasgow will be bringing his hallucinogenic musical project, Konx-Om-Pax to the screens while COH (raster-noton, Editions Mego) will produce seductive pulsar excursions that modulates live video feedback produced by the acclaimed graphic artist and animator Tina Frank. One of Brazil’s most highly-regarded AV artists, HOL, aka Henrique Roscoe will use custom-built hardware, chance elements and high concepts to improvise compelling sound image performances while Thor Magnusson will bring the spirit of free jazz to Bristol with his live coding AV performance.
