It's seven years since Charlie Dore played The Greys in Brighton, and in her own words "I think that's a decent enough gap for a town chockfull of music". The Greys gig will include a sneak preview of songs from the forthcoming album, Milk Roulette, as well as crowd favourites and the song that made her name, Pilot of the Airwaves.
The stories in between the songs are dark and funny, the rapport with her audience always instant and relaxed. Charlie says "People do tend to well up at a few of the songs, but there's a lot of laughter too. As long as the songs are making a connection, I'm happy. Coming back to Brighton is always quite an emotionally-loaded experience for me as it was very much my late brother Rowan's town - (he worked on the Argus for many years). in fact two of his daughters, Lucinda and Briony still live here, now with their own families. I wish he could have been here to share it with us."
