The first ever ‘Afriganza!’ is a 4-day celebration of African music and the new-wave of UK artists that it has inspired, from indie rock infused with Sokous to the latest electronica tinged with beats from deepest Nigeria, ‘Afriganza!’ will feature art, workshops, film and live performance, transforming The Blind Tiger Club into a musical melting pot in what amounts to one of the greatest ‘Afrobeat’ line-ups the city has ever seen!

Dele Sosimi made his name as pianist with Fela Kuti, and his ten-piece outfit specialises in a modern interpretation of Kuti's music.

Joe Driscoll & Sekou Kouyate
Joe Driscoll, the man Cee-Lo Green labelled 'the gangsta with an iron lung' is originally from Syracuse, upstate New York. Joe's music entails the familiar mix of rapping, folk and blues, recognisable, yet very different.
From Conakry, Guinea, Sekou Kouyate, is a member of renowned band Ba Cissoko and is known in France as the 'Jimi Hendrix of the kora'. The comparison comes from his unique style of playing with various effects, in a variety of genres, and with an extreme intensity.
