Jukebox Fury: Zoom Lens

an evening of sound and vision dedicated to JG Ballard. Renowned for his dystopian depictions of the near future, JG Ballard presents a vision of an urban landscape that warps the human psyche.

Featuring live bands, soundtracks and film the night will include a screening of CRASH! made in 1971 by Ballard, Harley Cokliss and Gabrielle Drake. Also featured will be Vanishing Point, by Chris Dobrowolski & Leslie Hill - a video trail of vast landscapes and catastrophic incidents, screened in a series of miniature makeshift cinemas fashioned from toys and found objects.

Jukebox Fury sits somewhere between a guerrilla cinema and pop-up gig. Throughout this audiovisual medley look out for cameo appearances, quirky music videos, eye-popping performances and more, with dancing until the curtain fa
