In this wide-ranging concert for strings, the famed violinist Richard Tognetti leads the OAE in music moving from the urgent excitability of Mozart's Divertimento in F to the rich sonorities and melancholic beauty of Dvorak's Serenade. It's also a chance to hear a string symphony from Mendelssohn, as well as two intriguing miniatures - Elgar's achingly beautiful Sospiri and Grieg's intriguingly named Poème érotique.
