Yes, you could be the next Seasick Steve, playing a guitar you made with your own hands. The workshop is led by Chickenbone John, the UK's foremost expert in cigarbox guitars - as a maker, player and promoter he is renowned as "The Godfather" of the UK cigarbox guitar scene.
This fascinating instrument is steeped in history; many old-time bluesmen such as B.B. King and Lightnin' Hopkins started out making their own guitars this way. Using a simple kit of parts (including a piezo-electric pickup which allows you to plug it in and really make some noise!) you'll put together your on instrument, and at the end of the session learn to play slide guitar - even the slide is provided too).
