An Ideal Husband By Oscar Wilde
Sir Robert Chiltern and Lord Arthur Goring are successful political figures. Chiltern's life is picture perfect with a loving wife Gertrude and a quick-witted and intelligent sister Mabel. However, Goring's life rather differs: an idle philanderer with a shameless affection for Mabel and an insistent father begging him to marry.
The world of these men is turned upside down when an old acquaintance, Mrs Laura Cheveley, arrives with some damning evidence of a past misdeed. Sir Robert turns to Goring for help, but it could risk Chiltern losing his wife Gertrude and Goring's chances to finally win over Mabel.
