Going Global: City Of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra (CBSO)
From recycling to green energy, wildlife conservation to food miles, saving our planet for future generations is high up the political and educational agenda.
In this concert specially devised for Key Stage 3 students, take a musical journey around the planet’s troubled landscapes, with composers from all over the world including Debussy, Sculthorpe and Ginastera. But it’s not all doom and gloom! With some global cooperation, inspired by lively Klezmer music, and a bit of help from Austin Powers, there’s plenty to send you away inspired and optimistic.
City Of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra (CBSO)
Founded in 1920, the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra has always had an illustrious career. In fact, the first concert was conducted by Sir Edward Elgar. The orchestra has grown into a 90-piece ensemble with a worldwide reputation.
