Hanging By A Thread: The Ding Foundation
Beds play a central part of most people's lives, after all we spend at least half our life asleep! Sex, birth and death, centre around a bed too, and that wonderful activity... dreaming… Cared for by her daughter, an old woman has knitted herself into her bed – a bed, which has a powerful, and surprising will of its own. Using puppetry, objects, performers and music, this is theatre that is playful and hypnotic, spellbinding and absurd. Suitable for ages 12+

Ding is the German word for 'Thing' - and the Ding Foundation have a straight-forward mission in their work: The Advancement of Things! The creative use of things of all sorts - and in particular found objects - is at the heart of their work.
