Beat Streuli: New Street
Swiss artist Beat Streuli takes over the entire gallery with his exhibition of photography, video and digital projections.
Streuli’s work combines to make a portrait of modern urban life. His subjects are largely captured unawares as they negotiate the city streets, often engaged in activity, either talking into mobile phones, waiting at traffic lights or talking with friends.
Ikon’s exhibition, organised in collaboration with EACC Castellón, shows life within cities around the world including Sydney, Brussels, New York and Cape Town plus new work made by Streuli this summer in Birmingham.
