Hooray For Hollywood: BBC Big Band + Richard Shelton + The Swingcats
A swinging celebration of Hollywood's golden age featuring the BBC Big Band with guest singers Richard Shelton and glamorous vocal trio The Swingcats. Featuring classic melodies from Breakfast at Tiffany's, Gentlemen Prefer Blondes and Lady & the Tramp. The concert also features swing classics from Glenn Miller (Sun Valley Serenade), Tommy Dorsey (The Fabulous Dorseys), Duke Ellington (Cabin in the Sky) and many more including Chattanooga Choo Choo, Song of India and Sing Sing Sing.

The Swingcats
Swing ensemble featuring vocalists Nicola Auld, Laura Ellis and Alyson Orr delivering beautiful jazz-tinged three part harmonies. Reminiscent of The Puppini Sisters in style, The Swingcats pay tribute to the female vocalists from the jazz and swing era. From The Andrews Sisters to big band singers such as Ella Fitzgerald and Peggy Lee, to leading ladies of the silver screen including Doris Day and Judy Garland.
