Tennent's viTal 2012: Foo Fighters + The Black Keys
Foo Fighters and The Stone Roses have been announced as the headliners for this year's Tennent's viTal, taking place at Boucher Playing Fields in Belfast this August.
Foo Fighters will be making their long-awaited debut in Northern Ireland, taking the headline slot on the first day of the event, whilst the second day sees The Stone Roses take their much anticipated reunion tour to Belfast.
Also confirmed are The Black Keys and Florence and The Machine, with more acts set to be announced in the coming weeks.
Foo Fighters
With several hits under their collective belts, the grunge rockers known as the Foo Fighters have been long established in the world of rock. Their career has seen them go from being 'the band with the guy who used to be in Nirvana' to being one of the first names on the tongue of anyone making a list of the most prolific and influential bands in rock music today, with a score of memorable songs and legendary performances to their name.

The Black Keys
The Black Keys are an alternative rock duo from that Mecca of weirdness, Akron Ohio. Dan Auerbach (guitar/vocals) and Patrick Carney (drums) mix nearby Detroit punk rock with not-as-near North Mississippi juke-joint rollickingness to produce startlingly raw slabs of music that challenge the ears and pummel the psyche.
