Billy The Kid: His Life In Music

In an attempt to achieve notoriety by association, two ageing cowboys have concocted an evening of (false) reminiscence that from the opening moment, fails to convince.

An entertaining fusion of music, theatre and comedy featuring re-enactments of moments from cowboy history and such songs as Hey Billy, The Ballad Of Viagra, Caught In The Fire and The Death Of Billy The Kid.

Written by and starring musician Rex Horan (Neil Cowley Trio, Jazz FM’s Jazz Artist of the Year 2013 award winner) and writer/performer Chris Johnston (Fluxx, Rideout, Livestock), Billy The Kid: His Life In Music was first presented as part of the Brighton Fringe 2013, prior to a week run at the Etcetera Theatre in Camden, London. Rex and Chris have been working together over several years exploring ways to fuse music, theatre and comedy. This is their first touring show.

A comedic musical tale of The Wild West and 19th century outlaw, gunman, gambler and rustler, William H. Bonney, aka Billy The Kid, whose legend lives on over 130 years after his death at the hands of Pat Garrett. Two cowboys reminisce about their time with legendary outlaw Billy The Kid. Unfortunately, they never met him!
