The event co-ordinators of Waddesdon Manor inform you:-

"Baron Ferdinand de Rothschild created Waddesdon Manor as a place to entertain his select circle of friends for weekend houseparties and to showcase his extraordinary collections. We are offering you the unique opportunity to do the same. Stay at Waddesdon when the entire property is closed to the public, learn about its collections and enjoy our hospitality over two days when the house and gardens are at their most magical, and go away with memories to last a lifetime.

This is an opportunity for both budding collectors and those looking for more specific, expert guidance. All the study sessions are led by Waddesdon’s curators and the programme is entirely tailored to participants’ interests. The number of participants is strictly limited to ensure that everyone’s needs are met and that you have the opportunity to learn directly from the works of art through handling and discussion.

Accommodation is in the Manor’s bedroom suites which have been restored recently to their original luxurious state. You will enjoy four meals a day, with a special dinner in the Blue Dining Room on Monday night accompanied by wines celebrating the family’s long history with some of the world’s best vineyards, preceded by drinks overlooking the formal Parterre in the evening.

The price of the programme is £1,250 and includes transportation to and from central London, accommodation, meals and drinks and six study sessions. You can also have the chance to view one of London’s foremost art and antiques fairs, Art Antiques London, in the company of Waddesdon’s curators on Wednesday, 13 June."
