Martin Harley

We are very excited to host British singer-songwriter and slide guitarist, Martin Harley, for an evening of live music with River Cottage food on Thursday 9 April 2015.

Martin Harley ordinarily fronts the highly praised UK-based acoustic trio, The Martin Harley Band. He'll be performing solo at River Cottage HQ with songs from his album 'MOJO Fix' as well as a couple of classics. This intimate concert will be complemented by a delicious seasonal meal cooked up by the River Cottage chefs.

Martin is a hugely important and respected voice in the evolution of popular blues and folk oriented guitar and vocals. A lifelong devotee of acoustic guitar music, Martin is renowned for his prowess as a slide guitarist; he is almost unique in the UK in his playing lap slide.

Martin is a firm favourite of Hugh's and has played numerous gigs at River Cottage HQ.
