Company Directors Errol White and Davina Givan return to the stage this Autumn in a tender new duet.

Breathe sees the highly anticipated return of creative duo Errol White and Davina Givan with their signature articulate, bold and agile choreography.

With an evocative soundtrack by Tiago Cerqueira, lighting design by Fabiana Picciolo (Winner of the 2013 Knight of Illumination Award (Best Lighting for Dance)) and costumes by Ben Voorhaar, Breathe explores fragments of a shared history as the dancers measure the limits of themselves against each other; testing the invisible boundaries of trust, a bond that remains even in the absence of physical touch.

The Company recently finished the pilot year of Evolve, Scotland’s first paid dancer apprenticeship programme, a response to the concern across the sector that young dancers in Scotland are at an increasing disadvantage to those in England and internationally, highlighted in Creative Scotland’s recent Dance Sector Review.

Approaching Breathe as a new cycle of work for the company using findings from the process of running Evolve and observations from previous work over past few years, Errol and Davina are delighted to be moving the company forward.
